MEET ME
Hi, I'm Leonardo
Early Life
I was born and raised in an immigrant family. Being the first person who went to an English speaking university, I learned so much in terms of humble, caring, and cherishing what I have. My father and mother were both entrepreneurs, which this family background greatly influenced my passion for public services and the strength of endeavour.

University
When I graduated from high school, I knew I was going into business because I love meeting new people and address people's concerns.
After I finally became a member of the University of Toronto's community, I started to engage in different activities that campus offers. Meeting new people and attending different business conferences. Not only within the UofT community, I started to reach out to other universities communities like Western, Queen's and York. Try to understand the struggles of our generations and how I can best provide my services.

Leadership
During my university years, I have always trying to solve people's concerns whether it is admission problem, or as big as program transfer. The black swan happened in 2020 and the world is still suffering from this unprecedented crisis: COVID-19 global pandemic. Back in May 2020 when the university just announced the virtual learning policy, I knew Canadian wasn't ready for this pandemic, I knew UofT wasn't ready to provide the necessary resources for the student to transition.

I took the initiative to collaborate with my friend from the University of Toronto Medical School and developed the contact tracing App for the purpose of mitigating spread of the virus and keep Canadians, UofT community, local/international student, you, safe. We presented to several members of parliament and MMP's and was once the options for the nationwide contact tracing App.

Soon after the contact tracing venture ends, I realized that this year is particularly hard for students to find internships and graduates to find a full-time position. I've talked with many students and alumni to listen to their concerns. Therefore, I established Clickspaces, to solve this urgent need. It is the platform that dedicated to young generation, allowing school students to really connect with alumni and let the new graduates to gain the latest industry knowledge and successfully find employment in their related fields through the industry insights.

We will be launching this APP as early as March 1st. and you can find the App on App Store and Google Play under the name of "click".

Election Now
Those experiences made it so clear to me that, I'm putting myself forward and running as your representative in the University of Toronto Governing Council. I see so many problems existing in our communities and I want to fight for your rights and better serve the students. There will be no more miscommunication between the school board and ut, the students. I will reunite our community, rebuild connections, and have the education that works for you.

I’ll put forward a detailed plan aiming to resolve our failing communication channels, fight for high tuition under online classes, defend against the grade deflation, and a working internship plan for everyone.
